How does he expect me to get any work done when I can’t get my eyes off his navel? And one that is perfect by the way. He doesn’t have much chest hair and I can see the cuts of his physique clearly as he has no body fat. A body I’d love to run my fingers over, his skin looks so smooth. I find it strange that he’s so white, but I guess that’s how it is living and working in cold climates.

I’m ironing out the fundraising events sitting at the large island in his kitchen when he catches me daydreaming because I’m looking at his chest and abs as he walks around the condo with only jogging pants on. And they are the thin sexy ones that are probably over a hundred dollars and tailored for him as part of his workout wear. I swear I’ve been staring at him for a minute-or longer this morning and I can’t get enough of lounging on the floor with him when we play with the puppy.

Shit.

Focus, focus, focus.

“We have enough time for dinner and then you have to sit behind your team in the stands, right?” I’m not sure what the etiquette is for this situation.

“Yeah, I can dress casual for this. You want to join me?”

“Is it allowed?”

“I’m sitting next to others, besides, you’re my representative.”

He’s right. I am doing the work of an agent and now I’m in the spotlight, much more than I ever bargained for, but as long as he’s with me, I don’t mind. I never thought about being with a public figure before even though I deal with them all the time. I prefer to be the person behind the scenes. It gives the public less to criticize if I stay safely tucked behind my desk.

It also keeps my safely kept from having my heart broken.

“I guess so,” I agree and I can’t keep the excitement from my response.

We order wine to go with our food as we discuss the options for appetizers and entres.

“Oh yeah, seafood!” I’m about to come in my pants at all the choices on the menu when I remember we’re in Maine and they have lobsters and oysters. “Oysters from Florida just aren’t the same as the ones off the coast of Maine, and if they’re Boston oysters, they have the most brine in them. But Canadian oysters are pretty awesome too.”

“Hmm, never gave it much thought before. Maybe we need to get an appetizer with them all so we can compare.”

I emphatically reply, “Let’s! This will be fun. Do you eat them straight or with stuff on them?”

“I usually decide when I see them. You?”

“I’m naked with lemon or maybe a touch of horseradish.”

“I see you aren’t shy,” he teases me.

“Nope, well, once in awhile maybe,” and I lean forward, resting my chin on my hand that is propped under it. When I look across the table, Wyatt is giving me a mischievous grin.

I feel my face blush. Keep it together girl.
